Yesterday there was a very important event that happened in Hong Kong. It was the protest against the Tianmen Square massacre. It was a very unfair killing. It started off with a handful of chinese students wanting to have the freedom of speech. They gathered into a group and started to attract the attention of other students at other universities. Soon, a total force of 1,000,000 people marched towards Tianmen Square. There, they erected a statue that they carved, which was called 'the statue of freedom' in defiance to the Communist's stance in 'stability' (otherwise known as, no freedom of speech). Unfortunately for the government, they soon started a hunger strike. Even when the cowardly Communist government started to imply physical violence in which to 'restore stability', as the Communists say, the protesters used peaceful means told hold back the army. One man, who became known in China as the 'Tank Man'. He held back the advancing line of tanks, one of the inhumane ways that the PRC uses to crush resistance. They kill by either of these ways: by running over the protesters, or by blasting them to meaty chunks. 'Tank Man' stopped the unceasing advance by climbing onto the tanks, defying the law, and opening the hatch of the lead tank. Eventually, though, the protest came to a violent end. The cruelty of the PRC was horrific. They used rifles, tear gas and tanks to murder innocent civilians, then, when the protesters tried to leave, they surrounded them and used heavy weapons, including heavy objects, to maul the civilians. As the chaos ensued, rickshaw-pullers ventured into no-mans zone to cart out the dead and wounded civilians. It is estimated by the Chinese Red Cross that 2600 civilians died. However, the PRC covered this up and released their own 'official' record, which showed that there were 200 casualties. Adding to their disgraceful action, they erased all evidence of the incident, so children would not learn of it. Even so, many people will never forget how their loved ones were viciously murdered in this bloodbath, and how it will never be replaced.
In my opinion, the PRC should have never been put into power in the first place. They used the slogan 'you give me power, and I make everybody happy and equal'. What the real meaning of this is 'you give me power, and I will take everything away everything from you, then some more'. To keep themselves in power, they offered to make anybody who supports them rich. In my eyes, they are ruthless killers, hidden behind a smiling wax face. One of the best examples is the farming industry. Here is how it works:
1. The farmer harvests his crops
2. The PRC orders the farmer to surrender his crops
3. They give a minute fraction of the harvest to the farmer
Result: The farmer starves
This is just one of the many examples in which the PRC shows it's power and ruthlessness. But, they do have a weakness. Since everybody in China hates the government, all they need is everyone to protest. This way, if the government tries to kill everybody again, nobody will be left working for them. If they don't stop the protesters, their government will come to an abrupt end. All China is waiting for is the spark, which one person must ignite.
