Making Video, Lesson 3

Today was a very eventful day. I first went to Tsz Kit's computer to type two slides about cyber-bullying. Unfortunately, one of the group members, Tsz Kit, had the delightful idea of making me the bully victim in the videos. They were too realistic, as I soon found out. After punching scenes, it was almost time to pack up. That's when Tsz Kit and Jason started to argue. Jason was rather clumsy as he switched off the computer by accident, so Tsz Kit had to use my computer. Then, Jason switched off my computer, which looked as if he did it on purpose. After, that it was Afternoon Break.

Making Videos, Lesson 2

Today we started to do our filming. There were quite a lot of problems, since we were arguing about who should use the camera. We even had problems in setting up the camera, which took us about 10 minutes to do so. We tried to film some video, but that didn't work out very well, since one of the videos took 15 minutes to film, and eventually, we abandoned it. In fact, I think that we did not get a lot of things done today.

Making Videos

Today we were busy making our groups to make a video, we decided to focus on cyberbullying. Here is the information that we have prepared:

6 things that we will include in the video, in detail:

1. What Cyberbullying is:
  • Cyberbullying=bullying over the internet
  • Cyberbullying can be in lots of forms
  • People that are cyberbullies try to get personal information

2. Who can cyberbullies be

  • Teenagers
  • Varies
  • Practially anybody, even your closest friend, can be a cyberbully

The slides above are going to be produced by Tsz Kit

3. What cyberbullies do

  • Try to take your personal information
  • Try to meet you in a secret dark place, so that they can do something very, very horrific to you
  • Threaten you so that you will be scared to tell anybody about he cyberbully

4. How to avoid cyberbullies:

  • If you confront a cyberbully in the chat room, tell your parents to come and have a look at the things that the cyberbully is doing. If the situation escalates, you won't have to be scared and stare at the screen. Your parents will call the police.
  • Only talk to people that have been your closest friend for plenty of time, tell your parents if even they seem to be in a suspicious mood
  • Try to avoid talking to cyberbullies in private chat rooms in the first place.

The slides above are going to be produced by me (Mel Li)

5. What to do when you are being bullied:

  • Tell your parents immediately, even if you may feel embarrassed, because that's better than being bullied or even kidnapped right?
  • If the situation gets worse, you can call the police to deal with the matter
  • Don't be scared to tell anybody, because that's what cyberbullies home in on, your fear and secrecy.
