Recently in the Philippines, a terrible disaster was watched by hundreds of shocked Hong Kong people. It is outrageous that people should watch a disaster like this unfold, helpless as they watched their loved ones shot carelessly by the Philippine police.
One of the most shocking things was the presidents review on this tragedy. He stated that "Why should we put our last option as our first" (last option indicating the disposal of the gunman, Rolando Mendoza, by snipers positioned around the bus). This basically means that the president was hesitant about shooting Rolando in fear that the police may have killed one of the tourists. Of course, when the gunman was in plain sight, snipers should have taken the shot and ended the situation. Instead, they spent ours trying to nudge open the front door of the bus, which was reinforced by a hydraulic lock Rolando had placed there.
The police also obviously lacked proper training. People don't walk up to a gunman with pistols stuck against their foreheads, you're supposed to aim down the sights! Another thing, it is impossible to open a door reinforced by a hydraulic lock by nudging it with a riot shield. Breaking down the glass of the door does not help, especially if it alerts the gunman, and if it's too small for somebody to get through.
Another strange thing was, why did a Chinese organization in Philippine, not the government, organize a memorial for the victims of this tragedy? Why was there no apparent government support? It even seemed that the president was smiling while he talked about these victims!
8 people have died so far, and the survivors are going to be suffering from acute trauma for a long time to come. I hope that the filipino government realizes it's inadequacies, and gives adequate compensation to the survivors.

How magic could be real
This theory seems impossible and absurd when you first set your eyes on it. "How can magic be true?" you'd probably be thinking. "Magic is just something that people do to trick you!". But, there may actually be some proof of this.
Scientists claim that the Big Bang theory is the best theory that anyone in history has ever thought up of. But, there is an obvious problem. The closest scientists can get to saying how the universe started from is that a tiny squashed ball of matter just exploded and formed the universe. What they can't explain is where the matter came from. As tiny as it is, it had to come from somewhere. This is where the greatest minds on Earth have failed. Nobody in recorded history has come up with an idea as to how the matter appeared suddenly, out of nowhere. Thus magic may actually, have one, small laugh at science. Why? Magic, religion and everything else claims that solid matter can appear from absolutely nothing. This may mean that magic, as weird as it seems, may be able to explain the mystery of the beginning of the Big Bang.
Even if magic may be able to explain this infamous mystery, we will not know what actually kick started the universe. Hopefully, you will be able to explain your ideas about this.

Weird Topic: Common sense
Common sense is a weird thing, isn't it? It's weird because common sense has no true meaning. How is this true?
Think of it like this. What would you think about drinking poison? You'd probably say: "are you nuts? Poison is obviously bad for you!" But, what would a different animal think about this? They'd probably say "Well, duh, poison for humans=paradise!". This is because while people think poison is bad for themselves, it's good for other animals. Common sense is basically something that a half-crazed person thought of, something that grew and grew until people thought that it was the right thing to do. Common sense is actually related to your opinion. Even if you think that common sense is always the right thing, it's actually not as simple as you think.
Basically, what is common sense?

Aung San Suu Kyi
The Burmese government is, extremely pathetic in their attempts to hold their preciously, and certainly doomed government. Why is it like that? It all starts with the arrest of Aung San Suu Kyi.
Aung San Suu Kyi's detention is, in fact, a huge mistake made by Burma's military junta. Obviously, their motive was to prevent the downfall of their goverment, which is certainly imminent, as, who would want a bunch of nutjobs running the goverment (nobody in the right mind would). Instead of preventing the downfall of their government, they have already secured the government's downfall. Since Dr. Suu Kyi already has been supported by 59% of the voters in the general election, it adds the the controversy, as it attracts international intrest. It was certainly a wise decision to impose sanctions on the country. The only problem is that, the military junta may decide to put Aung San into more misery if the U.N try to intervene. The accusations against Aung San Suu Kyi, such as being "an axehandle of neo-colonists" and "a traitor who deserves to be deported" is one of the desperate excuses of the government to the world to defend themselves against inquestionable evidence that they are responsible for handling something that is extremely close to being inhumane (probably it already is). Basically, the government is scared of political powers such as U.S.A and other major countries, so it is trying to hide the fact that somebody is rebelling against their corrupt system, by simply dumping her into house arrest with a hastily thought of 'answer'. Talks with these people are useless. Why try talk to a military junta? It only premotes their reputation making them even more dangerous
Please post your opinions on this subject and on others in this blog page.

Hong Kong: Stock Betting products
Today in Hong Kong there was a financial outrage. Some people in Hong Kong had purchased a product that depended on betting on the stock market. This is why I think the consumers were extremely unreasonable......
Of course, at one time betting on the stock market is an extremely dangerous procedure. That is why some people lost their money while betting on the stock market. They are at present trying to get their money back by blaming the banks for not explaining the risk to them. Well, why didn't it occur to them to ask the banks? Although there is some resonable wrongdoing on the banks part, it is the consumers themselves who are to blame. To put this in another perspective, it is comparable to a 100% no risk, full refund, secure profit product. Of course, impossibly good products don't last long. This is exactly like what the Lehman investors did.
In Hong Kong, there will almost certainly be more people like these investors. They need to be more cautious next time.

Perspective
This is an extremely complicated part of humans since they first realised they had it. Why is it the complicated? It's because of this......
Perspective can change everything. It is the driving force of the human imagination. How? Well, for once, a person that has lots of power can infulence many other people with his perspective. This is how many wars and such things broke out over time, and how many other leaps in technology. Perspective indirectly is the fuel for the rise of man. What can perspective achieve?
One very weird kind of thing that perspective can do is make good people bad people. For example, the Japanese perspective of themselves was that they were valiant warriors fighting for their country. On the other hand, the Americans thought that the Japanese were violent thugs that used any means, even if this meant taking their own life, to kill their opponent. Americans are seen in the same way.
Another almost impossible to solve question that perspective raises is, where did perspective itself originate? It seems like a simple question with one simple answer, but that one simple answer is incredibly hard to find. Since perspective has no solid appearance, it is so hard to find that nobody knows what form or shape it comes in. All we do know is that it gives a living animal the ability to make decisions.
The final, and most puzzling question is, what is perspective itself? Is it a figment of man's imagination? Does perspective even exist? What is the true meaning of the word 'perspective'? Since all things have to start at a single point, when did 'perspective' come to be?
Why don't you have a go at these issues?

Lehman Brothers: Bankruptcy
People in Hong Kong are turning to sheer desperation in losing their money from investing in Lehman Brothers. But this was not the fault of the company. Here is why the people are doing the wrong thing......
Basically, it's not the fault of the government for misinforming the people of Hong Kong. It's the people of Hong Kong which have so foolishly invested their money in the Lehman Brothers. The only thing they have to blame for losing their money is themselves. The most outrageous thing about these investors is they think they can just bring this problem to the government and live happily ever after. What disgust everybody is the fact that they are no less pampered than babies. One other thing is that when these people are stuck in a pretty horrible situation, they don't try to solve it the hard way, they prefer to whine about it.
One of the poor excuses the Lehman Brothers' investors make is the fact that 'the government didn't tell us that these stocks were unstable'. Well, how would the government have known? Besides, the investors could have easily researched this themselves via the Internet. In a simple way, they are trying to blame the government for something that they are responsible for.

Basically, the reason why this whole thing is outrageous is because these investors think that they will have a guaranteed 100% refund, no matter whatever happens. It's simply because they are too greedy. They think they have a stock in which they certainly can make a profit. Well, the world isn't that perfect. It's a place where you win it, or you lose it.
One of the saddest things ever about these protests is the fact that the motive is to blame some other person and get money back from it. So, here's a message for those whiners: you lost your money, LIVE WITH IT.
